Architas, a part of the global AXA Group, announces the launch of its new Hong Kong based business, Architas Asia Limited. The company has been granted a license to operate as an asset management company by the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong (“SFC”) as of 6th April 2020.
A team in Hong Kong has been appointed including; Zaid Alrifai as Responsible Officer (for Type 1, 4 and 9 regulated activities) and Head of Architas Asia; Dr Mai Khanh Vo as Responsible Officer (for Type 4 and 9 regulated activities) and Chief Investment Officer; and Beatrice Jiang as Head of Legal and Compliance. Architas Global Head of Client Group, Nicolas Deschamps and Global Chief Investment Officer, Jaime Arguello are appointed as offshore Responsible Officers. Additional appointments in Hong Kong have been made to support the growth of the business.

In October 2017, Architas launched three Irish-domiciled globally diversified multi-manager funds as part of our regional offer in Asia. The funds have been authorised by the SFC for sale in Hong Kong since April 2018, and are currently distributed through AXA’s insurance products both in Hong Kong as well as some other Asian countries.
The Hong Kong authorised funds are the Architas Flexible Bond, Architas Multi-Asset Balanced, and Architas Flexible Equity funds. These are multi-asset, fund-of-fund solutions which leverage the fund selection and risk profiling expertise of Architas.
